Gane allowed Breuer to completely remodel and refurnish his own home as well as designing an iconic Pavilion for the Royal Show in 1936. The Gane business was destroyed in the Blitz in 1940. Crofton reopened a small shop at 87 Park St and kept going on a small scale until 1954. Now the lovely Friska who coincidentally provided the coffee for our Symposium at the Arnolfini.
